Age ConcernAge Concern aims to promote the well-being of all older people and to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. This worthwhile charity combats discrimination against older people and helps support them in as many ways as possible, from providing day care and information on a local scale to leading national campaigns on numerous issues. Amar JyotiAmar Jyoti is a voluntary organization in Delhi, India, rendering rehabilitative services to people with disabilities through inclusive and integrated education, medical care, vocational training, child guidance and self-employment since 1981. The charity is currently involved in several projects, including running highly acclaimed courses in association with universities, providing community-based rehabilitation in 30 urban slums of Delhi, and running a school where 602 children with and without disability are studying together, equal in number. The school works to inculcate confidence and develop all-round personalities, as well as providing academic remediation. Amar Jyoti is an associate member of Rehabilitation International and has received the national award conferred by the President of India for outstanding services to persons with disabilities.
